Repressed Childhood Memories

I was just telling my boyfriend that I am probably the only person in the free world to watch Star Wars in order of Phantom Menace to Return of the Jedi.

He said, "No, you've seen it".

I was like, "No, I've never seen the original trilogy".

He said, "You've seen Wookiees and Ewoks".

Then I said, "That's only because my dad used to call me in the room like,
"Hey, come look at these little hairy boys!"

Yeah, that's pretty much the same thing he said...

Might as well wait until after seing Star Wars III and then you can watch the triology and you can be the only person on the entire planet to watch them in the actual order! Cool.

That's what I did.
Like a total nerd, I've listed my to-date-viewings of Episode III in my sidebar (under my rockstar pic).
Then I watched IV and V yesterday and wrapped it up with VI today.
So I AM the first. I'm sure of it.

Though I'm sure to get plenty of disagreement from the die-hard Star Wars fans, I must say Episode III was BY FAR the best of all 6.

I haven't seen any of them except for the part where Luke's hand gets cut off.

I also haven't seen ET.

ET makes me cry. It scared the crap out of me when I was little.

There's a certain satisfaction in being able to say I have FINALLY seen Star Wars.
I was a little disappointed though. Dude, Luke was a total pansy. After having seen his and Leia's performances, I wondered what made everyone bitch so much about Hayden and Natalie.
Seriously. I'd like to know.
I gotta say, Harrison Ford really "made" the movie/s (surprise).

I have also never seen the original trilogy, or any of the new trilogy.

Someday I'd like to do a weekend movie marathon and watch all six in order.

I'd also like to do that with other movies like the Rocky series, Batman, and some others that I can't think of at the moment.
