*@!&#%$

IE is lame. for those of you viewing this through internet explorer- sorry its all ganked! tried to spiff up my template a bit and I can't make it look right in ie. damnit. I dunno what I did wrong but I think it has something to do with the padding values on my sidebar and main. the borders are extending too far vertically. anyway. I've spent seriously way too long trying to fix it today so I'm just gonna say fuck it for now. if anyone knows whats causing this or has any suggestions for me please comment or email.
thank you!

Just took a quick peek in IE and I see what your problem is but I'm not sure how to fix it.

Try makind sure to have four different numbers in the padding tags and be sure they all are followed by 'px'. I dunno that it will help but it's worth a shot. I never fucked with CSS until Blogger.
But I have worked with HTML a lot. You may need to just do what I did with my blog. I got rid of all of the CSS tags that dealt with spacing, borders, position, etc. and I just tossed in a table and used columna instead. I am easily frustrated by tables but it was still pretty easy to do. Maybe you should give it a go. You can always just save your current template on your PC in case you flub it up.

You know, this would be a non-existant problem is the whole world would just use FireFox. I have to admit, I like the way my blog looks on IE much more than on FireFox but it's worth having it look less attractive to not have to deal with IE's BS.

Hope I helped! If not, I'll spend as much time on it in my head tomorrow as I can.

thanks for looking at it. I think I'm just gonna say fuck em for now. I think the problem is in the padding. I hid some of the padding values to make it look right in the mozilla based browsers but it didn't work for IE. I have no idea what the real numbers should say. I suppose my whole problem would be fixed if I just ditched the borders but I don't wanna. I use firefox and it looks fine :) hopefully I can figger out how to fix it sometime this week.

IE sucks, I have had the same issue with my template once I customized it too. It looks fine in Firefox, Safari, and Netscape, but IE blows chunks! I'm not going to worry about it: it's not my problem but rather that of anyone who still bothers to use IE! :-)

It isn't working for me in safari, but it's fine in firefox. Try this first, as it looks very similar to a problem I was having. Go to blogger, change settings, formatting and where it says "enable float alignment" click NO. See if that does it.
